Fighting for Our Community Health Centers
Over 95,000 people in my district receive critical healthcare and preventative services from Community Health Centers. This Congress, I fought to reauthorize these important health centers. Working with a coalition of advocates, I was ultimately successful in having a 2-year extension signed into law, ensuring our communities continue to receive the healthcare they need.
Protecting and Preserving Funding for Lake Champlain Basin Program
The Lake Champlain Basin Program is critical to protecting this North Country treasure from invasive species, protecting its biodiversity, and strengthening the local economy. I proudly secured $8.4 million for the Lake Champlain Basin Program, nearly doubling the funding level.

Increased Funding for LIHEAP
I fought in Congress to ensure that the North Country received access to needed low-cost energy assistance. The Low Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) provides critical resources for the most vulnerable in our district, and we were able to provide over $3 billion in federal assistance for this important program.
Supporting Our Local Firefighters
Throughout my time in office, I have met with countless firefighters who share with me their frustrations with the FEMA grant application process. I was proud to host FEMA informational sessions across our district to help local fire departments effectively apply for grants to help keep our communities safe.
