To the Editor:
Most north country people are what I call “salt of the earth.” They rely on hard work and the freedoms guaranteed by our Constitution to act in their own best interest. Here in NY-21, we appear to be in the midst of a new cultural battle, and this midterm election is the battleground.
We have a choice to vote for a candidate who stands for north country values (Elise Stefanik) or one who stands for downstate values (Tedra Cobb). If you doubt this, I encourage you to do a little research.
Issue by issue, Tedra Cobb shows her true colors as a radical left wing fringe candidate. Cobb, for example, is in favor of more gun control. According to an article in the Sun Community News, she would not respond when asked about the abolition of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. As misguided as she is, at least U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand is honest about ICE.
It’s time for north country voters to wake up from their slumber and get informed about this election and what is at stake. Elise Stefanik is proven and capable, and she is building momentum for the north country.
