GLENS FALLS, NY –  Today, the New York City Police Department Captains Endowment Association (CEA) endorsed Congresswoman Elise Stefanik for re-election to Congress. The CEA represents over 2,100 active and retired uniformed members in the ranks of captain, deputy inspector, inspector, deputy chief, and police surgeon of New York City Police Department. Many retirees live in NY-21.

Chris Monahan, President the New York City Police Department Captains Endowment Association (CEA), stated:

“As President of the New York City Police Department Captains Endowment Association (CEA), I am pleased to endorse your candidacy for Congress in the 21st District. The CEA represents over 2,100 active and retired uniformed members in the ranks of captain, deputy inspector, inspector, deputy chief and police surgeon of the Police Department.

After an extensive vetting process, we’ve come to trust that you are the candidate, out of all the other candidates, who best understands the needs and concerns of New York City’s police force, as well as the needs and concerns of the uniformed civil service ranks of the City of New York. You recognize the need for the police and the importance of supporting them.

We look forward to working closely and productively with you on any, and all issues that affect organized labor and/or law enforcement in your community. Please feel free to call upon us if issues arise where our input can be helpful in improving and/or preserving the quality of life in the neighborhoods you represent.”

Congresswoman Elise Stefanik stated:

“I am proud to earn the endorsement of the New York City Police Department Captains Endowment Association. They know that I am the only candidate running to represent New York’s 21st Congressional District who proudly backs the blue and understands the needs and concerns of our police officers. I am honored that many retired NYPD captains and officers chose to retire in Upstate New York and the North Country. I look forward to working closely with them in the next Congress and to continue building on my track record of results for our brave law enforcement officers and their families.”
