WASHINGTON COUNTY—Today, 75 Washington County elected officials, including Republicans, Conservatives, and Independents, endorsed Congresswoman Elise Stefanik for re-election to Congress. This is the highest number of endorsements the Congresswoman has ever received from local elected officials in Washington County, and this includes full endorsements from every elected official in the Towns of Fort Ann and Whitehall.
“I am proud to once again endorse Congresswoman Stefanik, as she has tirelessly fought and delivered results for Washington County,”said Samuel J. Hall (R), Chairman of the Washington County Board of Supervisors and Supervisor of Fort Ann.“Just recently, she secured nearly $1 million for the Washington County Industrial Development Agency to complete our wastewater system and over $2 million to the nonprofit L.E.A.P., which supports early childhood education right here in our county. There is no question that Elise has delivered for our communities in Congress, and that is why she has my unwavering support.”
“I am endorsing Congresswoman Stefanik for another term because she has remained constantly accessible and a strong voice for Washington County in Congress,”said Denis Langlois (I), the Village Mayor of Fort Ann.“Elise introduced legislation to enhance the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area to include all of Washington County, which would increase tourism and be a boon to our local economy. We can always count on Elise to listen, stand up, and deliver, and I’m proud to give her my full endorsement.”
“As a longtime Republican, I’m proud to support Congresswoman Stefanik for re-election because she has a track record of fighting for our freedoms and truly making a difference for local families here in Hartford, the center of Washington County,”said Dana Haff (R), Town Supervisor of Hartford.“Even though we are a small rural town, Elise never forgets us nor our conservative values. Elise always makes time for families in Washington County, and we have been honored to have her continue to march in our Memorial Day parade. Congresswoman Stefanik has my full support.”
“I’m humbled to earn the backing of all of these local elected leaders in Washington County,” said Congresswoman Stefanik. “Voters and local officials in all parties and corners of New York’s 21st Congressional District know that I have always been a voice for North Country families at the highest levels of our federal government.
