Saratoga, NY: Today, Elise for Congress released the 44th Result in the campaign’s 100 Days, 100 Results program highlighting 100 of the critical wins that Congresswoman Elise Stefanik has delivered to the North Country.
“I introduced bipartisan legislation that would provide temporary relief for Perkins loan borrowers,” said Congresswoman Stefanik. “COVID-19 has caused financial hardship for families throughout the North Country, and this legislation will give those with Perkins student loan payments some peace of mind during this difficult time.”

The bipartisan COVID–19 Perkins Loan Relief Act that Elise is co-leading This bipartisan legislation closes a gap in the CARES Act and allows those with Perkins loans to defer payments until October as we recover from the COVID-19 crisis. Along with the Equity in Student Loan Relief Act, this critical legislation will reduce significant financial stress for the borrowers who have been left behind, and I’m proud to be an advocate for all of our hardworking North Country students and their families.
Elise for Congress will release a new Result each day through the November 3rd election to highlight the campaign’s laser focus on Real Results for the North Country.
