Essex County: Today, 61 Essex County elected officials from every town in the county endorsed Congresswoman Elise Stefanik for re-election to Congress.
These endorsements highlight the strong bipartisan, grassroots support for Congresswoman Stefanik across Essex County and the North Country as a whole. Congresswoman Stefanik works hard to earn each and every vote from voters who recognize her strong bipartisan record and hyper-focus on local issues and real results.
“I am fervently endorsing Congresswoman Stefanik this November because of her dedication and commitment to our community, her efforts to support our veterans, support for the environment, healthcare, and education, and her strong record of results and funding for Lake Champlain,” said Shaun Gilliland (R), Town Supervisor of Willsboro, and Chairman of the Essex County Board of Supervisors. “During the entirety of the COVID-19 crisis, Elise has been there for us – our voice in Washington and our closest most stringent ally. 24/7, she has been just a phone call away from immediate assistance and partnership with local government to ensure we have the resources and tools to keep our North Country citizens safe, and our economic recovery secure. Elise is the best example of a great American public servant. The North Country is blessed to have a representative who works with all parties and all points of view to get so much done for the benefit of our district.”
“I am endorsing Congresswoman Stefanik because of her strong record of results for the North Country,” said Jeffery Subra (I), Town Supervisor of Schroon. “In Congress, Elise has stood firmly for protecting our seniors throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, while also ensuring millions in funding for hospitals and healthcare workers in NY-21. Even during a time of national unrest, Elise has been instrumental in advocating for our rule of law, and protecting the safety of our law enforcement officers and their families. I am proud to stand among my fellow elected Essex County colleagues in support of a representative who will fight for our district in Washington, hold officials accountable, and advocate for our North Country values.”
“I am proud to endorse Elise Stefanik for congress,” said Robin DeLoria (D), Town Supervisor, Town of Newcomb. “Elise has proven time and time again that she is willing to work across the aisle to secure critical legislative wins for the North Country and advocate on behalf of the hardworking men and women in our communities. Congresswoman Stefanik’s record of bi-partisanship has brought real results for NY-21, allowing her to deliver millions in funding to protect our nurses, doctors, and hospitals throughout Covid-19. I have no doubt that she will continue to represent our values for a fourth term in Congress.”
“I’m grateful for the support and endorsement of each of these 61 local elected officials and community leaders in Essex County,” said Congresswoman Stefanik. “I continue to work with local leaders, regardless of party, on issues important to the North Country to achieve real, bipartisan results for our region. My opponent, Taxin’ Tedra, caters only to the Far-Left wing of her radical party and continues to insult the voters of this district by criticizing the President they voted for and refusing to work across the aisle. I will work with anyone for the good of my constituents.”
