Glens Falls, NY: Congresswoman Elise Stefanik today met with employees and senior leadership members of solar energy company Apex Solar Power in Queensbury, another in a series of “Results Tour” campaign stops across the North Country highlighting her bipartisan record of results for the 21st District.

At today’s “Results Tour” event, Stefanik was praised by company leaders for her bipartisan efforts to preserve job-creating solar tax credits, and for her tireless leadership across the North Country.

“Congresswoman Stefanik has worked tirelessly on behalf of North Country residents, and has been a staunch advocate for our interests,” said Apex Solar Power President Stan Dobert. “No better example is her support for the solar tax credit in Congress. As President of Apex Solar Power, I have seen firsthand what the results of this support has meant to the 90 employees here in Queensbury, as well as the residents throughout the North Country who have benefited from solar energy. We thank Congresswoman Stefanik for her leadership on this issue.”

Stefanik thanked the leaders and employees who make Apex Solar Power one of the top solar companies in the industry today,

“In 2014, I ran on a platform of new ideas and real results for the 21st District,” said Congresswoman Stefanik. “I believe that promoting clean energy independence is not only vital in protecting our environment, it is critical to the future of innovation and job creation across the North Country.”

“That’s why I supported, and helped to pass, a bipartisan budget package that included important tax provisions to promote the use of biomass, wind, solar and hydropower. That is also just one reason why I proudly received the Nature Conservancy’s, “Supporter of Nature Award.”
“The renewable energy tax provisions I fought for are critical to our District,” she said, “and I will continue fighting on a bipartisan basis to protect and promote these job creating programs.”

Over the past decade, Apex Solar Power has established itself as one of the top companies in the solar industry. They have installed over 3,100 solar systems for customers throughout the Northeast—from Buffalo, NY, to Boston, MA, to Burlington, VT. They are based here in the North Country and pride themselves in having installed over 25 megawatts worth of solar projects.
